The Balance & Harmony of Body and Mind

Balance is kind of underrated to be honest. It’s like controlling a football between your eyes. It looks and feels absolutely BRILLIANT once you can pull it off, and all your friends pat on your back. But it takes a lot of practice, multiple failed attempts and until you get it right, you need pick the ball up again and keep trying.

Balance comes in physical forms, emotional forms, and spiritual forms. Being in balance may mean something to one persona and something else to another.
However, there’s a single commonality. It takes a lot of time, effort, concentration and sheer will to perfect it.

So, is there a science to this balance? A method to this madness?

Balance as a concept can be seen everywhere in life, even inside you. That’s what we’re going to talk about.

Your body releases all sorts of chemicals most of which are extremely hard to spell but these chemicals are based on the activities that mostly take place outside our body.

Moments like.. running to catch a bus, nearly seconds before you miss it, or finding out you got that dream job you've been busting your butt for, or just a warm hug from your buddy creates a rush of adrenaline, a plethora of emotions and copious amount of endorphin that quickly swarms your body. All of these are primarily your body’s reactions to the outside world.

While the aforementioned examples are quite positive, things can quickly take a U turn. We’ve all been there, when your mind begins to torment us. Watching your favourite team loose an important game, being yelled at in front of your peers by your boss because you missed those unrealistic deadlines, or the death of a loved one, all can sometimes feel like chewing glass and staring into the abyss. Life seems like it’s at an all-time low.

It’s important to train your body to adapt and balance out the release of these chemicals as you navigate through the ups and downs of life.
Mental well-being is as important as your physical well-
being and vice versa.

While there’s plenty of known ways to develop the body physically, off late there has been a huge conversation around the ways to heal the mind. To make it your palace.

Therapy works wonders and there’s different ways to create or even recreate the ‘therapeutic’ experience. Focusing on doing the things you actually like doing is a simple but proven method, but however if that isn’t cutting it, there are changes you can make to your lifestyle that can work wonders.

Aromatherapy is one of them.

It’s has been passed down from generations and has been used effectively for people to cope, cure and heal themselves, mentally. It is one of the few ways which helps you work your body and mind simultaneously.

It’s healing capabilities and cleansing ingredients tend to slow things down for your body and mind to work like the well-oiled machine it is.

It’s all about to giving enough time to work on the different aspects that make you, you! And not getting stuck with one objective until you’ve mastered it. Our bodies respond well to a holistic all round development method for it to be the best it can be.

Mastering balance feels brilliant, it gives everything you do a sense of purpose. Everyone loves a pat on their back at the end of the day right? So go ahead, pick up that ball.
